alignAfrica founded in 2009 and registered in Ethiopia under Registration Number 2717, alignAfrica is a local nonprofit organization advancing humanitarian action, sustainable development, resilience-building, governance, peacebuilding, and institutional strengthening.

We work alongside communities, government institutions, civil society organizations, INGOs, UN agencies, donors, foundations, academic institutions, and private sector partners to deliver accountable, evidence-informed, and locally owned solutions.

Our work supports people facing the greatest barriers, including women and girls, children, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), youth, persons with disabilities, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and communities affected by poverty, conflict, climate change, displacement, and limited access to essential services.

We believe communities are not passive recipients of assistance. They are leaders, innovators, partners, and drivers of sustainable change.
