Education is one of the strongest foundations for human development, economic opportunity, and social transformation. When children have access to quality learning, young people develop relevant skills, and communities create opportunities for leadership and participation, societies become more inclusive, innovative, productive, and resilient.

Across Ethiopia, many children and young people continue to face barriers to quality education, skills development, employment, and meaningful participation in decisions that affect their lives. These challenges are often compounded by poverty, unemployment, gender inequality, displacement, climate-related shocks, and rapidly changing labour market demands.

Since 2009, alignAfrica has partnered with communities, government institutions, schools, training providers, youth networks, civil society organizations, employers, and development partners to strengthen education systems, expand skills development opportunities, and empower young people to become leaders of positive change.

Rather than delivering stand-alone training, we strengthen education systems, youth structures, and strategic partnerships that create sustainable pathways from learning to skills, from skills to opportunity, and from opportunity to leadership and community transformation.

Our programmes are designed to strengthen education systems, improve equitable access to learning, enhance youth employability, promote civic participation, and enable young people to contribute to Ethiopia's social and economic development through locally led and sustainable solutions.
