Health is the foundation of human dignity, opportunity, and resilience. When people are healthy, children are better able to learn, women and girls can pursue opportunities, young people can make informed choices, families become stronger, and communities are better prepared to respond to future challenges.
Across Ethiopia, many people continue to face barriers to quality healthcare, adequate nutrition, and essential wellbeing services due to poverty, geographical isolation, inequality, climate-related pressures, disease outbreaks, and humanitarian emergencies. These challenges disproportionately affect women, children, adolescents, persons with disabilities, pastoralist communities, internally displaced populations, and other underserved groups.
Since 2009, alignAfrica has partnered with communities, government institutions, health facilities, universities, research organizations, civil society organizations, and development partners to strengthen health systems, improve nutrition outcomes, and expand equitable access to quality health services across Ethiopia.
Rather than delivering stand-alone health interventions, we strengthen health systems, community structures, and strategic partnerships that improve service quality, increase community ownership, and build resilient systems capable of delivering sustainable health outcomes.
