alignAfrica is an Ethiopia-based, Africa-focused, rights-based organization advancing community-led development and humanitarian action. Founded in 2009, we work with communities and partners to reduce poverty and inequality, expand opportunity, and strengthen resilience. Our work focuses on six thematic areas: Education & Skills; Health & Nutrition; Gender Equality, Protection & Inclusion; Humanitarian Response & Resilience; Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment; and Climate Adaptation & WASH.

We are Ethiopia-based and Africa-focused, with our work currently centered in Ethiopia. We aim to expand step by step into selected African countries through strategic partnerships and locally grounded opportunities.

We work with governments, donors, foundations, UN agencies, NGOs, civil society organizations, private-sector partners, universities, research institutions, and community organizations.
